To ensure seated comfort, Charles and Ray Eames suspended a continuous piece of seat-back upholstery between lightweight aluminum side ribs and stretched the upholstery tautly around each end of the frame. Whether upholstered in fabric, leather, vinyl, or an innovative mesh material that allows the chair to breathe, the result is appropriate firmness with just the right flexibility. GREENGUARD™ certified, 90% recyclable and 67% of the chair material was derived from recycled resources.
